The new centre, Camelot (@ Columbia Elementary) is now OPEN! This expansion brings our total childcare spaces to 78! With 54 spaces at Camelot, and 24 spaces at Columbia.

School District No. 67  was a successful proponent for provincial funding to create new childcare spaces, in partnership with Leapin' Lizard's.

Leapin' Lizard's offers childcare at 4 locations, at & in Columbia, Parkway, and West Bench Elementary's.

We are excited to announce that Penticton parents will have more access to NEW licensed full-time, before-and-after-school, Pro-D, Spring Break and Summer Break childcare spaces at our location at Columbia Elementary!

This expansion will increase the total childcare spaces to 78! 

Leapin' Lizards already offers services at 3 local schools, including Columbia.

Work is underway to begin building to accommodate for the new spaces, although it is too early to provide an clear timeline for when the childcare spaces will be ready, TBA is the end of 2023:)

Leaping Lizards has operated, with nearly no staff-turnover, for over 10 years in the Penticton area. We offer weekly themes, educational toys, dramatic play, sports, arts, while also placing emphasis on both community and inclusiveness. We have a well-trained staff that provides each child with an element of choice by offering a variety of activities.

Summer field trips are integral to our program. The picture above shows Leapin Lizards staff together on a beach field trip. This is one of the many outings Leapin Lizards takes regularly. Field trips are important moments in learning and a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for children to encounter and explore their communities. Field trips also enrich and expand our curriculum, strengthen observation skills, increase knowledge in a particular area and expand the children's awareness of their community.
